This is the very beginning of your creative path. It’s when you first took action...when you realized you could not silence the need to be creative any longer. It’s an exciting time when you first try making something. For the first time you experiment with materials. You are curious, and this foray into something new, like your art, brings an inkling of surprise, wonder and joy to your being. There is a sense that you are finding your way home, to yourself again. You might realize that your life is more balanced when you are able to be creative. The initial creative spark that awoke you is still fresh in your mind. It could've been from seeing someone’s art, making something for the first time, or just seeing something in your life that deeply resonated with you. In short, it inspired you, it moved you to the point where you just knew that the time to step into your creativity had arrived. But most importantly, this stage fills you with one thing, and one thing only...desire. This is what will transition you to the next stage.
