SUSAN ALMQUIST (Suggested for Stage Six: Mastery)
This month’s interview spotlights one of our own, Academy member Susan Almquist. In her youth Susan and her sisters were always making things at the basement craft table. Creativity was and is in her bones. For a time, adult life took her in different directions, further from creative outlets. There were painting spurts over the years but no regular practice. Two rounds of CVP brought her back to her work with impressive visual clarity. With an understanding of the CVP principles, her juices flow intuitively. Her work brings life to a delightful menagerie of characters, animals, patterns, and color.
