Ali is an accomplished watercolor artist working in portraits and figurative work. Her dependence on the visual world began when she lost much of her hearing through spinal meningitis at an early age, causing her to depend on body language and reading lips to communicate. She is highly sensitive to the people around her and the unseen language revealed through compositions of the human body. Her paintings have been collected worldwide and featured in numerous print publications and internet features.
